Necklace:
A necklace is an article of clothing or jewelry; which is
worn around the neck. Necklaces are frequently formed from a
metal chain; often attached to a locket or pendant.
Necklaces can also be manufactured with cloth, and they
sometimes contain rocks (particularly gems), wood, and/or
shells. When worn high on the neck it is referred to as a
choker.
Many Christians wear a cross or crucifix which differs in
shape, size, material and color. Others wear the cross
merely out of decoration and may not be Christian

of pearl necklaces : collar, choker, princess, matinee,

length & good for casual or evening wear.

suits.
It is difficult to differentiate between natural pearls &
high quality cultured pearl with the naked eye. Pearls are
said to be composed of 82-86% mineral ( calcium carbonate ),
10-14% organic binder and about 2-4%
Choosing a right pearl necklace depends on many factors
including age and occasion.. Pearl necklaces are chosen &
worn differently varying with age. The pearl necklace, like
the diamond necklace can come in a variety of forms. A
strand of pearls, or a single pearl on a chain are the two
major types of pearl necklace. The variety of pearl necklace
can include the collar, choker, princess, matinee, opera,
and the rope.
In India, women prefer to wear their necklaces closer to the
neck to show their smooth skin, specially when draped in a
sari. When buying a pearl necklace, there are a few things
to keep in mind including surface, color, size, luster, and
shape. Some color necklaces complement a women's skin color
much better. For example women who have fair coloring would
better in light color pearl necklaces. In the city of

Jeweler's market) area. Recently, there has been a trend of
Indian Jewelers to Import Chinese pearls.
